Welcome to Zero Waste Fest, an annual FUNdraiser!

Special thank you to Bay Area Bin Support, our Presenting Sponsor, for their generous support!

The Resource Fair at Zero Waste Fest saw the participation of 12 incredible environmental organizations. Attendees made a real effort to avoid single-use waste by bringing their own cups and bottles. The shoe donation drive, clothing swap, and upcycled t-shirt printing helped divert over 350 pounds of shoes and textiles from the landfill!

Race and Timing Information:

Race to Zero Waste does not keep runners’ time. For this event, we encourage runners to dress up and have fun! As part of our efforts to reduce waste, no bibs or timing chips are offered. For those who are interested in timing their 5k run, please use your preferred running apps or smart watches to track your time yourself. We will absolutely celebrate with you when you cross the finish line!

 Raffle prizes:

In an effort to be more inclusive and give everyone a chance to win the top prizes, we have a raffle after the race, directly after Yoga. All participants and attendees are eligible for the raffle.

You could win a Zero Waste Kit! The 2023 kit included a Klean Kanteen insulated bottle, food canister, reusable produce bag provided by Plastic Free Future, utensils made of recycled razor blades from Albatross Razors, a $25 gift card from Rainbow Grocery, and a bamboo cutlery set provided by Sea Hugger. Each kit is a $80+ value!

Become a Zero Waste Fest Sponsor

Your sponsorship will help us to further advance our newly formed Zero Waste Stations Pop-ups and help us develop community toolkits. These Pop-ups, run by dedicated volunteers, have been a great success in many Bay Area locations such as Ocean Beach, Mission Bay, Dolores Park, and more. With the help of trained community organizers, volunteers sort their waste, learn about zero waste principles, and ensure that waste is diverted from landfills.

As a sponsor of our annual fundraiser, you will be recognized and celebrated by the diverse and inclusive community of Race to Zero Waste. Your contribution will be acknowledged at the event, in event materials, on our website, and in our community e-newsletter, reaching a broad audience of sustainability advocates. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a lasting impact and be deeply appreciated. Be a part of the solution and help us create a more sustainable future!
