The Zero Waste Forum Experience

Join Race to Zero Waste (R20W) and partners for the Zero Waste Forum. The Forum will include seven engaging days of zero waste collaboration, education, and fun, while building on conversations from the International Day of Zero Waste! 

The Zero Waste Forum is an extension of R20W’s mission to foster discussions that build an equitable and accessible circular economy. The Zero Waste Forum is a platform to discuss and address the challenges of the next decade, bringing together diverse voices for conversations on equity, accessibility, and environmental impact. 

The Forum & International Dialogue will be a hybrid event, available for online participation on April 4th & 5th. 

Zero Waste Forum

Join Race to Zero Waste and partners for the Zero Waste Forum & International Dialogue. The Forum included four engaging days of zero waste collaboration, education, and fun, while building on conversations from the International Day of Zero Waste! This event included the Zero Waste USA Intro to Zero Waste course, esteemed international speakers affiliated with the Zero Waste International Alliance, local Bay Area zero waste businesses and organizations, tours, a resource fair, and more! We ended the event with family-friendly finale, Zero Waste Fest: a cup-free 1-mile walk, water activities with City Surf Project, Yoga, bird watching, and education stations, all located at the West Bluff Picnic Area!

Your sponsorship enables us to fund scholarships, providing entry to the Zero Waste Forum for local community members and organizations who might otherwise find it difficult to attend. Race to Zero Waste is in the process of conducting outreach to our partners to identify scholarship candidates. Who is Race to Zero Waste?
Meet the Host

Race to Zero Waste is a woman-founded and -run 501(c)(3) environmental conservation non-profit organization dedicated to reducing consumption, implementing reuse, and promoting an equitable circular economy. The Race to Zero Waste is an urgent call to reduce waste in all sectors. The impact of zero waste efforts on the environment and global greenhouse gas emissions is significant, and with the urgency of climate change, it has never been more critical to take action.

In 2023 alone, Race to Zero Waste employed over 50 Zero Waste Trainees, conducted outreach at over 20 Zero Waste Pop-ups, implemented reusables at a university in California, provided SB: 1383 compliance for two municipalities, conducted 8 waste auditsdiverted over 100 tons of waste from landfills, reached over 57,000 accounts on social media, and educated over 85,000 people at events and in public spaces. 

Race to Zero Waste is an affiliate of the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA) and follows the organization's peer-reviewed definition of zero waste.
